Interview With Alicia



Can you introduce yourself little bit?
Hi, I am Alicia. This is my third year at HPU. I am a intergrated multimedia major.

Why you are interesting in multimedia major?
I like to draw. I like animation. So that is why I choose multimedia major.

Is there an animation company you want to go into?
Not really because most animation companies are located in mainland,
I do not want to leave my hometown. I prefer stay in Hawaii. May be
I can establish my own animation company.

Are you working while going to school?
Yes, I have a on campus job at Career Development Center.



What is your dream job?
I want to be an animator.

What is your plan after graduate from HPU?
I want to some jobs that managing graphic or social media.

What is your favorite pet?
Bassee Hound

If cannot have a dog what do you want?
Capybara

Who is your favorite animation character?

I love all Studio Ghibli's animation characters.

Act of War

Act of War             Act of war is a really great documentary. It reveal the truth of what Hawaiian history from ancient time to now, and how was Hawaiian been taken by America and what after what have Hawaiian people meet. However, it is not only a great documentary on its meaning but its editing skills, audio, and photography. Act of War produced in association with the Center for Hawaiian Studies, University of Hawaii was first aired in 1993.             Editing Technic, they used a lot of transitions inside of this movie like they used video of storm as a transition, when they are telling about Hawaiian people in dangers and meet prejudice. Also when they have images of a story. They will use old pictures and doing zoom in and zoom out effect as transition. For example, when they were telling about Hawaiian people trying to assassinate politicians to save their kingdom, there is a black and white photo with assass...
